Peter Cullen
Peter was born in Wellington and attended Victoria University where he completed a law degree. He was President of the Victoria University of Wellington Students Association in 1972.
He worked as a lawyer for one of the large commercial firms then did law reform work and subsequently worked for a number of years as legal officer and subsequent general secretary of a trade union.
In 1990 he returned to the practice of law and set up his own firm Cullen the Employment Law Firm in 1995.
Peter was on the New Zealand Law Society Employment Law Committee. He chaired one of the biennial National
Employment Law Conferences of the New Zealand Law Society.
Peter was President of the Chamber of Commerce for a number of years and on the board of Business Central and Business New Zealand.
He recently retired from legal practice. Peter is a keen swimmer and a part-time golfer. His other current activities including arranging the ever-popular Cullen Breakfasts, being a member of the Rotary Club of Wellington and a committee member of Wellington Probus,
